Summer in Mara launches 16th June on Nintendo Switch

The forthcoming farming simulator Summer in Mara finally has a release date for the Nintendo Switch. The developer Chibig Studios says the idyllic farming sim will be arriving on the platform on Tuesday, 16th June. The colourful game will feature the following features:

  • Summer in Mara is a farming adventure, with an archipelago full of islands to explore.
  • Day and night cycle with climate events.
  • More than 100 quests to make the world a better place.
  • Over 20 characters to meet and trade with. Befriend them!
  • Improve your boat, make it bigger, better, and faster.
  • More than 150 inventory items to make, use, and trade.
  • Unlock new abilities, discover treasures, and meet all kind of people to help you trade, explore, and find new secrets in Mara.

      1. It’s actually a bit complicated, from what I know. I was thinking mostly of Harvest Moon on the SNES. There are many newer Harvest Moon games, but from what I’ve read, there were some legal shenanigans or something like that and the recent ones were all developed by a differemt company, and from what I understood, people like those games less than the original Harvest Moon games. However, the original Harvest Moon devs actually went on to make their own game series, called Story of Seasons, which also had releases on the 3DS, and from what I heard, those are actually a lot more similar to the old Harvest Moon games.

        Not sure if I got all of that right, but basically, when I compared the game to Harvest Moon, I was thinking mostly of the old Harvest Moon games that I know. I think there was a Harvest Moon game on the 3DS, but I don’t know if it’s any good and if it’s similar to what I was thinking of.
