In a recent interview with ComicBook, Shantae creator Matt Bozon revealed that Erin Bozon is currently exploring the idea of an animated Shantae series. You may remember the team made headlines when they went with renowned animation studio Studio Trigger to create the introduction for Shantae and the Seven Sirens which is coming to consoles on 28th May.

I’m taking a breather by helping out with a few other projects where I can while we prepare for the next big thing. Erin really wants to keep exploring Shantae as an animated series, and I’m all for that, too. After that Studio TRIGGER intro it feels like it’s closer than ever. Why doesn’t the cartoon keep playing? Why does it end?
I will not buy Shantae games on PlayStation platforms. They might get censored.

I mean if it pertains to her character design and who she is, then yes u culd say tht.

Funny how Nintendo went from one of the most well known companies to censor 3rd party from Wii U and Wii era, to being one of the least likely to censor now with Switch. (same with Xbox)
PS is now the one tht is well known for censors, for really odd reasons.

I’ve played Shantae since 2010. I loved it. Just got Seven Sirens Today. When I saw the animated cutscenes (There’s 13 in total), I just couldn’t believe it! I play a good variety of games, and none of them have a combination of animated cutscenes AND voice acting! An anime would be amazing!
