Nintendo has announced this morning that it has sold an incredible 61.44 million Nintendo Switch family systems. Between the period of April – June quarter, the company shifted an additional 5.68 million units. This brings the lifetime figure to a hefty 61.44 million. The Switch has proved to be so popular that it is due to overtake the total sales of the best-selling Nintendo 3DS by next year. Bloomberg has previously reported that Nintendo is aiming to produce 25 million units of the Nintendo Switch this fiscal year.
Selling incredibly well. Another 13 million by April next year and it’s holding the same numbers as the ps4 did after the same amount of time. Here’s to hoping for the best.
