Mario 35th Anniversary plans were possibly delayed by up to five months

The Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary celebrations, or at least the plans that Nintendo had in store for us, were possibly delayed by up to five months if an official webpage (which has now been taken down) is anything to go by. Wario64 on Twitter came across a webpage for a Super Mario Maker 2 online challenge and the page lists dates and times in April for it to originally happen. Check it out for yourself below

This most likely confirms that Nintendo had planned to reveal the Mario anniversary events, products and other announcements earlier this year. An obvious reason for the delays is the ongoing pandemic and the need for almost everyone to work from home, but it’s good to see that Nintendo was able to announce things later in the year.

You can catch up on all the exciting details here.
