Video: Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity teaser

Nintendo has released a short new video for the forthcoming The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild prequel title, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. The video gives us a closer glimpse of some of Link’s allies against the dark forces at work in the game. You get to see Sheikah researchers Robbie and Purah, and the King of Hyrule. The action-packed musou game will be released on 20th November exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.

  1. So my concern is that my interest in the game is lore related. So the question is, are we actually going to learn anything in this game, or is it going to be like “Oh, so Link wore a red t-shirt the day before the calamity”.

    1. You mean before it becomes the equivalent of Revenge of the Sith in relation to A New Hope? Lore wise, we technically know how it ends, so certain parts may very well be “Link wore a red t-shirt before taking a 100-yr siesta”

Probably the specifics to how certain areas fell, the demise of the Champions, when did Malice begin to appear/infect areas. Could also potentially show the events of the survivors during Link’s 100yr slumber and how they had to fend of the Guardians, monsters and Yiga Clan (since it could still be considered the Age of Calamity?).
