Gold Shy Guy & Gold Dry Bowser added to Mario Kart Tour until 15th October

If you’re wanting to unlock a rare character in the free-to-play mobile game Mario Kart Tour, then you’ll need to be quick as, starting today, Gold Shy Guy makes his debut in the racer via the Gold Pipe until 15th October. Gold Dry Bowser has already made an appearance in Mario Kart Tour back in the summer, so here’s another chance to nab the character should you wish. Other gold karts, racers and gliders are available too so make sure to grab them while you can.

  1. Ain’t it a shame when the mobile games are more constantly updated than the other core games on the switch made by nintendo.

    1. Idk, probably because the Mobile game came put last year while MK8 is much older. With this logic, why wasn’t Nintendo making new content for Splatoon when Splatoon 2 came out. I do think the console side of MK will be getting something before the end of 2022 though. Either a major DLC pack for MK8D or MK9.

      1. Content is content, and Mario Kart Tour objectively has more content than Mario Kart 8 in the character roster alone even if you ignore all of the character variations. You have new characters like Pauline and King Bomb-omb, or returning characters not seen in the previous installment like Birdo, Diddy Kong, and Funky Kong. Granted I myself would prefer new characters like E-Gadd, Wart, or ROB, Link, and Villager to make a return you can’t dispute this fact by trying to deflect on these lazy additions.

      2. @shinygold2 well they can add as much as they want because it is such a simple game compared to the the main series MK. This will definitely hurt the core MK series since people would expect more characters in MK9 and would always compare its roster with this crAPPy money grabbing game.
