NPD: Best-selling video games in USA during October 2020

You may have seen last night that Nintendo announced that the Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite sold a combined total of 735,926 units in the U.S. during the month of October 2020. These figures were from sales tracking group NPD and just goes to show how popular the Switch continues to be in the United States. Today, the company has released sales figures for the best-selling video games during the month of October. It was EA’s FIFA 21 which claimed the No.1 spot for the month followed by another EA sporting title Madden NFL 21. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit seems to have been a sales success as it entered the top ten at No.5, which is great. Here’s the top ten best-sellers.

NPD tracks physical sales at retailers, but it also gets digital data directly from publishers. But not every company participates. For example, Nintendo doesn’t share its first-party digital sales, and Activision Blizzard does not provide its Battle.net sales, and Take-Two doesn’t always share its digital sales.

  1. I’m surprised Home Tour sold that welll considering the price. To be fair some peoplw bought it twice, but I didn’t think it’ll make up the sales that much
