The Nintendo Switch has proved to be an immensely popular platform which is great for both Nintendo and fans. The system was the most sold console in Canada for the month of November and this makes it the No.1 system for the 25th consecutive month in the beautifully scenic country. Here’s what Dominic Gross, the General Manager of Nintendo Canada, had to say about the achievement.
“We are pleased that fans of all ages throughout Canada are playing Nintendo Switch and enjoying the versatility of the system. Whether it is playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe together or connecting online with friends and family to share island creations in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, Nintendo Switch offers something for everyone and we hope it creates many happy memories this holiday season and beyond.”
The Nintendo Switch has sold a staggering 790K units in Canada so far this year. Last year only 162K Switch family systems were sold. The coronavirus pandemic has helped boost sales of video games, consoles, streaming etc and other media as people have been spending more time at home.
Yeah! Nothing can stop us maple syrup-covered, polite chattering crowd of red leaves!
Precisely, for us Canadians, Eh!
