The Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary Special has been in the process of airing as of this article’s writing, and there has been a game announced that may have gotten your attention. Not only is an old Dragon Quest game getting remade, but the remake is not being done in a way you may have expected.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, a remake of the 1988 original, has been announced. The game is coming worldwide simultaneously to home consoles, although specific platforms, like the Nintendo Switch, have not been named yet. A release date was not given at this current time.   1. Nice. I dig these HD-2D games. I wouldn’t mind seeing how Earthbound or Mother 3 HD-2D release might look like.

  2. I find myself suddenly conflicted. A remake of Chrono Trigger in the same vein as FF7R or remade this way!? Aaaaaah! Noooooo! CONFLICTED!!! falls to knees dramatically with hands shaking in the air

    1. Given the artstyle, it’d probably look more like the recent Dragon Quest game vs FF7R. Does that help you decide?
