        1. Well if you want my honest opinion I was just stating that Nintendo is the King of re-releases. Every generation they port retro or older games for a modern price. I mean it’s, Nintendo so their ports are usually good quality (still to pricey). I know it has nothing to do with Sonic, but I don’t care :)

  1. Seems Sega had the sense to port Taxman’s excellent widescreen remakes this time rather than simply slap a ROM and an emulator on a disc and call it a remaster as in the last 1,384 times they ported Sonic 2.

But why not give Sonic 3 the same treatment? Didn’t they have Sonic 3 & Knuckles running in the retro engine like 8 years ago? The 4:3 sticks out like a sore thumb next to the others. Baffling as always, Sega

    1. Mr.Krabs with a mustache

Someone at Sega confirmed the S3&K clip was a placeholder and it’s actually widescreen

  2. they should at the very least include the HD editions in addition to these, since those still dont have a physical release yet. I would love the updated version of Sonic CD with the switchable soundtracks and playable Tails. the Sonic 4 episodes would be a nice bonus as well for similar reasons

  3. This is wonderful news to see Taxman’s remasters of Sonic 1 and 2 finally coming to console. And 3K also getting the remaster treatment. I guess this is what we’re getting instead of Mania 2 – that would have been cool but I’ll take this.

  4. Sonic’s actual origins: Christmas Island

Doing who knows what against Eggman, we may never know?

  5. As expected it’s just the same megadrive games again that have been rereleased a million times. Not surprised just disappointed

  6. sonic mega collection and sonic gems on the gamecube had more games on their disc than this. Shame sega, what a shame
