The Nintendo Switch firmware has been updated to version 12.0.3

Update: It was pulled by Nintendo but is now live once again if you haven’t downloaded it.

It seems that Nintendo is embracing a monthly release of Nintendo Switch firmware updates this year. Ever since March, Nintendo has released one update a month. The only exception had been the 2 updates that Nintendo released in April. Well, Nintendo has decided to continue that trend tonight.

Nintendo has released a new Nintendo Switch firmware update. Once you download the update, the console should be at version 12.0.3. Once again, the small patch notes are not a surprise. All Nintendo says is that there are “general system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience”.

  1. Update notes:

    -Supposedly enhances user experience
-Prevents tipping over through stability update

  2. It seems it got pulled for now:

” As of June 8th, we have temporarily stopped distributing system update version 12.0.3 (released June 7th, 2021 at 5:00 PM PDT). This message will be updated when distribution is resumed.”

  3. “improvements to enhance the user’s experience”. Yep, alot of people who use custom firmware will wake up to a banned Switch. That’s the Nintendo user experience right there!
