Listings appear for Team Sonic Racing (Sonic 30th anniversary edition) for Nintendo Switch

It appears as though Sonic Colors Ultimate may not be all we are getting this year when it comes to the spiky blue hedgehog. The French retailer which leaked Sonic Colors Ultimate and Sonic Origins collection has recently listed Team Sonic Racing (Sonic 30th edition) for the Nintendo Switch system along with a couple of other online retailers. Team Sonic Racing was originally released in 2019 and didn’t quite hit the mark when compared with the previous Sonic Racing titles. The online mode was also notorious for its difficultly trying to find anyone to race against and the game didn’t really see any post-launch support from developer Sumo Digital or publisher SEGA, but anyway this newer version could address some of the original issues. While the 30th anniversary edition of Team Sonic Racing has yet to be confirmed by SEGA, the revised edition comes with a special Sonic artwork book and is listed with a release date for 27th October.

      1. Jeremy Bird-Fremont

Also still mad about them just ditching the unfixed pc port with radio silence, glad I waited for that to get resolved (even if it didn’t) before buying but haven’t wanted to deal with sonic stuff since as the transformed was really freaking amazing and really don’t take kindly to em just screwing over pc platform

  1. I feel like if they had more characters/teams it would have done better, as well as more sensible team comps. Why would Eggman have Metal Sonic and that one Deadly Six guy on his team when they’ve both betrayed him? Should have had Infinite, at least he was loyal.

Also, why this game for a 30th anniversary edition? This game itself isn’t even three years old yet. This is like putting Black Panther back in theaters for a week and calling it a throwback.

    1. Can you imagine Infinite participating in the race? The dude who’s extremely insecure about himself and is able to throw a sun onto the track would race fairly, that doesn’t make sense. Metal only betrayed Eggman in Heroes, after that, I believe, Eggman did some tinkering on him to ensure he wouldn’t rebel again. As for Zavok, yeah… Deadly Six shouldn’t even be there at this point, yet they’re everywhere.

  2. Could someone please tell me why in the world would they chose THIS for a 30th anniversary game?? Sonic R, Sonic & All Stars Racing, & Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed were all leagues better than that abomination of an entry. If anything they should’ve went with the og Sonic & All Stars racing as a 30th anniversary. SEGA just makes the most questionably backwards decisions sometimes, I just don’t get it

      1. It’s probably just me then, but I still enjoy Sonic R to death, heck I even still enjoy playing Sonic Drift 1 & 2 more than Team Racing.

  3. Klara is better than Avery

My least favorite characters on that game are big the cat and omochao. I hope Amy teams up with cream the rabbit. Her power partner should be Chaos Zero (the water guy from sonic adventure) or storm the albatross. The 3 eggman levels should be easy to unlock too. I had to go back to the original sonic all stars racing just to play them again.
