Bravely Default II has sold nearly 1,000,000 units on the Nintendo Switch

Bravely Default 2 is less than a week away from releasing on the PC, but if you have a Nintendo Switch, the game has been available on the console since February of this year. Overall, the game received a positive reception from reviewers. In the 6 months since the game’s release, however, sales data has been few and far between.

Well, thanks to a recent report from developer Square Enix, they have provided a little more information on the game’s sales. Square Enix said that the game has sold about 950,000 copies on the Nintendo Switch. It’s very possible that, even though the PC version is releasing next week, the game may be able to sell over 1,000,000 on Nintendo’s console alone.

  1. 1 million units I’m glad, so they can build a trilogy immediately with the cash they had. Otherwise without the money, they cant develope a 3rd one and I’ll get mad.

  2. Who here has actually played this game? How does it compare to original, were fair expectations met? NVC liked it but not to ok high praise

    1. I loved it. A lot of people have said they removed some combat features in previous games but I honestly don’t remember. The combat system in this game is one of my favorites of all time however

    2. Hot take alert, but I think the new combat in BD II is absolutely terrible compared to the originals. Seriously makes the game unplayable for me. The original combat system was the only reason I even finished BS (I kinda hated that game otherwise), so for that to be replaced with a significantly worse version makes me very sad. Revo being back for the OST is hype though.

  3. I hope they the 4th game start right away, on the 4th game to make my day. I dont want to wait 18 years like most developers do and take forever then finally we can play.
