Japan: Nintendo Switch family of systems sell 67,114 units this week & Tales of Arise No.1

The latest Japanese video game charts are now in covering hardware sales and software sales for the week of 6th September, 2021 to 12th September, 2021. The Nintendo Switch family of systems were the best-selling video gaming hardware shifting 67,114 units, while the newer consoles are still facing stock issues in the country. The best-selling video game was Tales of Arise which was by far the best-selling video game this week shifting an impressive 201,798 physical copies across PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The second best-seller was the newly released WarioWare: Get It Together! which sold 72,277 units.

  1. The big story is that Tales of Arise on PS5 sold waaaaaaaaay less than on PS4. And sure we can talk about how the PS5 is newer but the different is bigger. It goes to show how much Sony has fallen in Japan.

    1. I think it’s more so because the PS5 isn’t exactly easy to get right now and the PS5 can play PS4 games, so people who want to play it on the PS5 in the future can just play their PS4 version on it when they manage to get one.
