The official Tales of series Twitter account has confirmed this morning that total worldwide sales of the long-running JRPG series have now exceeded 25 million units sold across various platforms. The company also revealed that Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition has now shifted over 1.5 million copies worldwide and that the newly released Tales of Arise for Xbox and PlayStation systems has already sold over one million units. The news was announced by Bandai Namco during the company’s 25th anniversary stream.

    1. Even stupider than Atlus I’d argue, because Namco actually has visible proof of how Tales can sell on Nintendo systems with how Tales of Symphonia is STILL the highest selling Tales game internationally.

But it’s like they ignore all that and go, “Nah, no one else wants it. Playstation it is.”

  1. Quite an achievement for a JRPG not named Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. Not sure how much do Tales titles average but I think Arise alone can help make it hit the 30 million mark (with definitive editions, repackaged).
