The latest UK boxed video game software has come through and there’s no change at the top for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga which has become the fastest-selling Lego title in history, both in the UK and worldwide. The entertaining 3D Kirby adventure, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, has sadly slipped out of the top ten and is currently sitting at No.12. However, the latest Pokemon game, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, has climbed from No.5 to No.3. Here’s the GfK UK Boxed Top Ten for the week ending 23rd April.

  1. At this point my dream of kirby taking Mario’s place as the primee nintendo character is just a mirage, KatFL was supposed to be most acclaimed and best selling Nintendo game ever.

I am done with the kirby franchise.

    1. If you actually thought they would replace Mario, the most iconic character from their best selling franchise, for Kirby as their mascot, then you were definitely setting yourself up for disappointment.

    2. …What are you even talking about?
You seriously thought a new Kirby game was going to be highest rated and best selling Nintendo game of all time? That very clearly was never going to happen.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land was a fantastic game, and has me excited for the future of the franchise, but the Kirby series as a whole doesn’t have the same universal appeal the Mario series has. It was never going to be as popular.

What does popularity matter anyway? Just enjoy the game lmao.

      1. I don’t want to live in a world where kirby is the second bananas to Mario, by the way my name is noa jadreŝić.

        1. Why does that matter though? You shouldn’t let the tastes and opinions of the larger gaming community bother you so much.

If you really enjoy Kirby games, then great. You should carry on enjoying them without being bothered about their popularity.

    3. How was Kirby and not the other Nintendo heavy hitters going to dethrone ‘Video Games’’ symbol? Mario is synonymous with video games. Zelda(Link)or Metroid (Samus) have a better shot of being Nintendo’s symbol.

      1. I don’t understand, people criticize almost all Mario games to death and praise every Kirby game…how did this happen?

it’s not worth living in this world anymore 😞
