SEGA recently uploaded a new episode of the Sonic Official livestream and in the video SEGA of America’s social media manager, Katie Chrzanowski, stated that the company will be sharing news on Sonic Frontiers soon and that the open world game is still scheduled to be released towards the end of the year. It has been a while since we caught a glimpse of the new 3D Sonic adventure, so any new footage would be more than welcome.
“See a lot of people asking about [Sonic] Frontiers, we don’t have news on Frontiers today but don’t worry soon. It’s still set to come out this holiday, so we will have news for you this year, don’t worry.”
Katie Chrzanowski
Please let this sonic game be ass good as Colors and Adventure 2 was. I don’t know why Sega won’t just listen to what the consumer wants
I’d hope it’d be better than colors was
If it’s not as good as SA2, we’ll have a serious problem. That game has aged horribly lol.
Disagree tbh. Still love the game. Chao Garden alone makes it worth playing
I think people mean they want a game with the “spirit” of SA2. I love that game, despite its obvious flaws, but I still can’t deny the game has a lot of charm and ambition that keeps me coming back.
Bring back the epic storytelling (even if it was over the top), emblems and unlockables. These were elements that made the games so memorable despite their flaws.
I watch the episode yesterday and she said it herself.
Well they don’t have too much of a window time to advertise were already pushing towards may, and summer always passes by so quick not to mention e3 is cancel so their goes one of the ways to advertise I’m guessing their planning to do another sonic presentation like they did last year, I’m still cautious about this game.
You know, I don’t think they are going to do another Sonic presentation anytime soon. They might going to reveal more details about the new game alone with a video of the gameplay. Nothing else. I’m also a bit cautious on what form and elements will this game take.
At this point I feel like we’re anticipating the news of Sonic frontiers more than we are the game itself, if that actually makes sense.
SEGA needs to quit playing games and actually give us news on the game!
I don’t know if it’s reassuring these days to hear, “Oh we’re going to make the deadline no matter what”
Most game devs and directors that have that ideology have had their games turn out so glitchy and mediocre, it’s feels like hearing a broken record at this point
Yeah, that’s definitely not a reassuring statement coming from Sega. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst… the Sonic cycle never ends
I mean it has been 5 years since Forces – you think that’d be enough time to put together a decent Sonic game without needing to delay it several more years?
