Nintendo has updated the Nintendo 64 app today for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members as promised, bringing the N64 app to Version 2.3.1. The update fixes the game-breaking bug found in the Nintendo Switch Online version of Kirby 64: the Crystal Shards. The bug was caused when Kirby is hit by certain damage sources in the water becoming stunned indefinitely. This then prevented players from progressing in the Nintendo 64 game. Nintendo told fans at the time that it apologises for the inconvenience.

What I’d really like to know is whether or not Nintendo is going to be able to restock the NSO N64 controllers this year. They were available for about .2 seconds over here in the west before the entire stock vanished. Since then, nothing. Playing these games with the controls mapped to joycons or the pro controller just feels wonky and inaccurate, so I’m essentially waiting on those controllers to make any use of the content I’m already paying for
Update: As providence has it, the store finally updated today and I got my controller. I want to personally thank Shigeru Miyamoto for reading my comment and granting my wish. I’ll accept no other scenario to explain this miracle
