Capcom provides updated sales figures for its best-selling games

Beloved Japanese game developer Capcom has shared updated sales figures for its best-selling video games and gaming franchises. The games are referred to by Capcom as Platinum Titles. These are video games developed by the company which have shifted over one million units. Capcom’s best-selling video game of all-time remains the excellent Monster Hunter game, Monster Hunter World, which has sold over 18 million units. The company has also provided updated figures for the newer Monster Hunter Rise, which has now shifted 10.3 million units, and has also reported that sales for the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion have now topped three million units.

Capcom game sales highlights:

  • Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (Switch, PC) has sold 2.5 million units (new) (sales have since surpassed three million)
  • Monster Hunter Rise (Switch, PC) has sold 10.3 million units (1.3 million additional units since March 31, 2021)
  • Devil May Cry 5 (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 5.7 million units (700,000 additional units since March 31, 2021)
  • Street Fighter V (PS4, PC) has sold 6.6 million copies (400,000 additional units since March 31, 2021)
  • Resident Evil Village (PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 6.4 million units (300,000 additional units since March 31, 2021)
  • Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 9.5 million units (300,000 additional units since March 31, 2021)
  • Monster Hunter World (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 18.3 million units (300,000 additional units since March 31, 2021)
  • Resident Evil 3 (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 5.4 million units (200,000 additional units since March 31, 2021)
  • Resident Evil 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 9.8 million units (200,000 additional units since March 31, 2021)
  • Resident Evil 7 biohazard (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 11 million units (200,000 additional units since March 31, 2021)
  • Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin (Switch, PC) has sold 1.6 million units (100,000 additional units since March 31, 2021)
  • Devil May Cry HD Collection (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 1.1 million units (new)

  1. Can’t wait for Dragons Dogma 2 hope they continue using the pawn system. I remember the money exploit for the 1st Dragons Dogma post patch. Purchase carrots, rest 2 days, sell carrots for a profit.
    Still waiting for a western release for the Dragons Dogma MMO, i know you can import a non localized copy from a JPN digital marketplace with an alternate account or get it from Play-Asia website. I mean an official western release. Im waiting for Phantasy Star as well

  2. I like how they got something that looks like the MHW logo behind the sales numbers of MHW. Incredible games, can’t stop stating how mind-blowingly good that games was.

    Seeing MHS2 only get what it did is kinda disheartening. I played through this game and it really is an amazing game with a lot of love and care put into it.
    Hopefully this doesn’t mean Capcom is gonna stop the spin-off in it’s tracks.
