The Embracer Group is quickly looking like a force to be reckoned with having acquired a large number of game development companies and strong video games IPs. The company has confirmed this morning that they have now acquired Limited Run Games, The Tolkien franchise for Lord of the Rings and Hobbit games, basically anything from J.R.R. Tolkien, Tripwire Interactive, Tuxedo Labs, and Singtrix. The company already owns Gearbox Software, Square Enix’s western development studios: Crystal Dynamics, Square Enix Montreal, Eidos, Sabre Interactive ,and many more development studios.
