It has been revealed that Nickelodeon, the rights holders for the beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, are set to release a new big budget Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game in 2023. It is not clear which development studio will be handling the game which was revealed in the September 2022 edition of Toy World Magazine.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, which was developed by Tribute Games, received solid reviews and shifted over a million copies as of 14th July. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Cowabunga Collection has also been released to excellent reviews with lots of praise regarding how the classic collection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games was handled.
Awesome news, couldn’t be more happy. With Shredder’s Revenge, The Cowabunga collection and now a big budget TMNT game set for 2023. Really impressed with The Cowabunga Collection and the new features like save anywhere and rewind. Love the rewind feature, being able to rewind certain parts and re do things that might have caused a game over on your 1st attempt is awesome.
Having the de bug menu on the games included with the Cowabunga collection is also pretty nice. Having god mode, additional credits and/or continues or just skip ahed directly to the last boss with level select.
I’m personally hoping we find out it’s a new Tournament fighter being made by Arc System.

All I ever wanted was an indepth lore rich open world Batman arkham styled TMNT game where you can choose between all 4 turtles, splinter, Casey Jones, and even April as an unlockable character… maybe even some of the villains after beating certain challenges.
I really just wanted someone to do TMNT right as a 3d game, yeah the beat em up are fun and all but I really wanted something akin to the Arkham series and Marvel Spiderman games.
Platinum had a chance but they completely botched it because they didn’t understand the TMNT franchise, TMNT could really be a true power house as franchise if handled right and the best part is devs could literally do their own original story given how the shows and comics always change since there are multiple universes within the TMNT franchise, hence why there are always crossovers in the cartoons where the turtles run into themselves from other universes.
God please get this one right and don’t let this be another cheap cash grab by nickelodeon.
Well I would like a platformer / action adventure in 3d tbh. But given the franchise history I don’t expect it. I’m not much into brawlers or fighting games even tho I did love the tmnt games back in the day.
We need the Arkham Knight or PS4 Spiderman for the Ninja Turtles.
Turtles we’re a big part of my childhood and the last shredders revenge game gives such good vibes from days gone, and il be def getting the CB collection.
Obviously this new big budget entry is great news, but can nick really pull off the nostalgia needed in this game with modernisation. It’s a tough job and maybe they need some more devs to help with this game
