The latest boxed-video game software charts have arrived for the week ending 17th September and the mighty Splatoon 3 continues its reign at the top spot for the second week. The next best-selling game is Horizon: Forbidden West which is being bundled with most PlayStation 5 consoles. There are five first party Nintendo games in top ten this week including the unstoppable Mario Kart 8: Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Is that why Horizon Forbidden West is usually within the top 10, because it’s being bundled with most PS5’s. Then technically it wouldn’t be considered as “best selling” That would mean the PS5 bundle that includes Horizon Forbidden West is best selling. Although im sure Forbidden West gets good sales figures as a stand alone purchase without being included in a bundle.
I hope all.these producers seeing their games top ten for so long are working on.sequels. PS5 owners I’m sure would rather pay 70 bucks for a sequel rather than pay $600 for a PS6 to play the sequel because the producers failed to start immediately to make the sequel.
