The Pokémon Company International today revealed more information about Tera Raid Battles, special in-game events, and more for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, launching on November 18, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch family of systems. Check out the new trailer on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
As Trainers explore the Paldea region, they can:
- Reference the Scarlet Book and the Violet Book for more information about unidentified Pokémon.
- For a limited time, defeat tough Pokémon and receive bountiful rewards in Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles.
- Participate in special Tera Raid Battle Events that increase encounters with certain Pokémon or Tera Types.
- Catch the newly discovered Pokémon Gimmighoul.
- …and more!
The Pokémon Company International also shared in-game event details coming soon for Pokémon UNITE and plans for Pokémon HOME and Pokémon GO compatibility with Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
- Compatibility between Pokémon Scarlet, Pokémon Violet, and Pokémon HOME is slated for spring 2023. After players have linked either title to Pokémon HOME, they’ll be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet to Pokémon HOME and bring select Pokémon from past games to the Paldea region.

From November 18, 2022, to February 1, 2023, Pokémon UNITE will hold a special in-game event to commemorate the release of the latest games in the Pokémon franchise. Players will be able to receive Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet themed Trainer fashion items, stickers for their Unite snapshots, and more.

Oh come on lol we have known this for years now. Time to accept it and move on
Trust me, I’m well aware, but a man can always hope 1 day Gamefreak will actually listen and bring back all the Pokemon.
but thats the thing this is now officially the biggest media franchise in the world, there is no reason why they cant have people code the moves for all the Pokemon since they are using the same future proofed models since x and y. even if they dont want them in the region pokedex threes no reason why you cant have them in the region.
Unfortunately, because the pokemon company wants a yearly release of pokemon games, gamefreak are pretty much pressured to cut corners to keep up, and because there’s so many pokemon already, they’ll have to at least take a couple of years to test it all out, especially if they wanna go on an open world format from now on. They really have their hands tied in this regard.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; The best answer to this issue is to revive the “Battle Focused” games like PBR and have that focus on the national dex and battling itself. They don’t even need Gamefreak to make it, just get someone like Bandai Namco, Square-Enix, or Monolith to make it. That way, Gamefreak can focus on what they want and all the competitive players that are still playing Pokemon USUM have something that covers their side.
I mean it’s Pokemon for pete sake, they 100% can fund this sort of thing.
That’s pretty cool concept importing pokemon from other regions. Can’t wait until the official release on November 18th.
