    1. I would never trust NPD numbers, because no outside entity check if NPD numbers are true, but am sure Switch is selling bad because no new games from Nintendo.

    2. It won’t , The Snes is one of the best consoles ever created cause it had full third party support , Rare and Nintendo. The Ps1 took over from Nintendo , each gen easily delivers 40-50+ games that are on the same level as Nintendo first party titles and better , get rated 9-10 even by websites that are more critical. Also don’t forget core gamers play on it , Nintendo has been made big by core gamers in the 90s but decided to go for the casuals and children en mothers cause they lost that battle because they screwed up with not making the n64 disc based and losing all there third party.

If people would only buy a Ps5 for Call of Duty than Xbox would be way more succesfull but there library is less intresting overall although still bigger than Nintendo’s also quality wise.

The Wii for example was very succesfull but every local bar had one , old males that never played games , females that never played games (mobile phones and tablets wasn’t as big as it is now) , Mothers ect. basicly everyone that didn’t play Nintendo in the 90’s had one. This had more to do with games like Wii golf though than them beeing real core gamers or the library beeing really good. When you compare it to the 8 Bit , Snes , and Gamecube it was bad even. The N64 was a really great console and had amazing first party and Rare only the library was very small , still it easily beats the wii quality wise. So console sales don’t mean everything , in the end money is made trough games.

Most Nintendo fanboys these day’s can’t be critical eather because there not mature about it or didn’t play during the 80s and 90s during Nintendo’s Golden Age. I myself used to be like that and was a Die Hard fan until I got older. I still love them very much and Zelda has been my nr1 franchise since I was 4 years old in the 80s , but other consoles are just better , with a far bigger library and quality wise not worse than Nintendo first party titles. Wich is fine , most people my age accepted that we are no longer there target market and its more pointed at children and casuals cause they can’t beat Sony and Microsoft simply because they are way bigger company’s with way more money too throw at it. From that perspective Nintedo has made the right choice.

    3. The only way PlayStation goes the way of Sega consoles is if they go full on American far left wing political & remove EVERYTHING they consider offensive from games coming to PS systems. Because the truth is, activists these days only complain & rarely ever actually buy the product they want changed. They just want to know they can control things, not actually support things.

The far right is the same way, obviously, but they aren’t the ones mainstream media is listening to at the moment. I’d rather they ignore both sides but that’s not the way right now.
