Bayonetta 3 may have officially released earlier this year, but Bayonetta fans don’t have to stop celebrating just yet. In fact, Nintendo dropped a major bombshell announcement tonight, courtesy of The Game Awards 2022.
Nintendo has announced Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. The game introduces “an Umbra Witch named Cereza, a young version of the Bayonetta in Bayonetta 3”. The game is slated to release on March 17th, 2023, and you can pre-order it from the eShop right now. The announcement tweet is down below.
Well that was unexpected. Looks charming.
what a pleasant surprise…smh.
At first I thought this was a DLC… but this is a full-blown regular $60 game. Definitely has me interested. Still, weird there’s going to be a Bayonetta game rated Teen with a picture book art style.
Spoiler, Not a surprise if you complete Bayonetta 3 post game…
You can have access to a small demo, enjoy!
The title suggests this could be the first of a new spin-off series, I would go for it.
