The iconic secret agent 007 will soon be entering the Nintendo 64 library on Nintendo Switch. Starting 27th January, GoldenEye 007 will be available for everyone with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership as part of the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online library of games.

Quick question though, is the online multiplayer gona be split screen, or do u have the whole screen to yourself?
Split screen. Remember this is on the N64 app, so it’s just emulation, it works (hopefully)exactly as it does on original hardware.
I assume if its just you playing, you will have the entire screen. I doubt they would show you other peoples screens lol
I’ve never seen any game with split screen online, maybe for couch co-op but not for competitive Pvp. Then again i hardly play anything online, but still split screen online competitive Pvp just sounds like a bad idea.

It’s because the online is emulating controllers instead of actually editing the base game to have actual online, you’re basically connecting through the app and not the game itself. I wish they would do more work to get rid of the split screen because it’s harder to play on it.
Some people in this comment section are really exposing their own lack of understanding on how emulation works lmao. As much as it sucks to be the case, that split screen is the best we’re gonna get. This isn’t a remaster or even a port of the game; it’s just emulation of the rom from the cartridge
