Respected Japanese developer Square Enix has published its financial results for period between April and December 2022 and sadly the results weren’t quite what the company had hoped for despite releasing a number of smaller projects such as the Live a Live Remake and The DioField Chronicle. However, the company said that it currently has “multiple new titles planned, including titles featuring new IP.” Square Enix has some big games planned for this year including Final Fantasy XVI and possibly Final Fantasy VII Rebirth which is scheduled for “winter 2023.”

That’s surprising, i thought SE had some heavy hitters. The DioField Chronicles, Star Ocean The Divine Force and Voice of Cards The Forsaken Maiden was all amazing.
Star Ocean The Divine Force is a huge improvement over Star Ocean 5, the gameplay mechanics and the sound track are far better then i ever expected. My only complaint like most is the protagonist from The Divine Force could have a better character model. His hair is ugly even for anime standards. By far the uglyest protagonist i’ve ever seen. Like Cloud and Big Bird had a love child.
I hope Bravely Default III is one of them.
The multiple new games statement goes without saying. We’re getting DQ XII, FF XVI, FF 7R2, KH IV, etc.
