To say that Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which premiered in theaters last year, was a success would be an understatement. The movie did very well, grossing over $400,000,000 worldwide. So, it was only a matter of time before the accolades paid off with some awards.
It has been announced tonight that SEGA and Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film has won the award for “Best Movie” at Nickelodeon’s 2023 Kids’ Choice Awards. However, it wasn’t easy. It was competing with Avatar: The Way of Water, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Jurassic World Dominion, and more. A tweet relaying the news can be seen down below.
I like how ‘fans” claim how Sonic is there favorite movie, yet Sonic didn’t get a single Oscar nomination. It’s everyones favorite movie until the next best thing comes along.

I think it was good enough. Had some chuckles(because of Knuckles) and the reference to the games were “cute”.

I dont think that kids voted for it. I think they didnt have a choice. That’s the only kids movie ( compared to those others) so thats what their parents took them to. When poopsie doopsie the squirrel makes a movie next month, that will be the top selling kids movie for a while.
