Nintendo re-enables ability to redeem Wii U/3DS download codes for 1 more week

The 3DS and Wii U eShops closed yesterday, but the closure did not go entirely according to plan. Some players were surprised to discover that, even if they had a code to download something that had already been purchased, they were no longer able to do so.

Well, it seems that Nintendo has responded to the matter. The company said that, although they do intend to disable redeeming download codes, they accidentally did it earlier than they wanted to. Because of this, Nintendo has announced that redeeming download codes have been re-enabled until April 3rd at 9:30pm PT, or 12:30am ET on April 4th. A tweet relaying the news is down below.

    1. If you really want to pirate games, just hack your system and install games you get from the internet (find them yourself). The 3DS is very easy to hack, for instance. Just follow the steps at 3ds hacks guide.
