Nintendo has sadly announced that Kirby’s 30th Anniversary adventures are now over, though we did all benefit from his 30th Anniversary in one way or another, as we have had the brilliant Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe on Nintendo Switch. That is not all though, as we have also had the various classic Kirby adventures appear on the Nintendo Switch Online service. The Kyoto-based company concluded Kirby’s 30th by saying “please continue enjoying his adventures for years to come.”

Can you start showing a little acknowledgement of series that aren’t your front-runners, Nintendo? I don’t recall F-Zero getting so much as a mention for its 30th, and have they said anything about Star Fox’s 30th this year yet?
well yeah, they’re dead franchises. Star Fox hasn’t had a critical success since the N64, despite having like 3 or 4 games come after. F-Zero would be too close a competitor to Mario Kart, in their opinion. I’d love to see a new F-Zero game but it’s not rocket science as to why Nintendo has not chosen to invest their resources into celebrating franchises no one cares about. Like it or not, games are not made for gamers, they’re made for the general public.
tl;dr: we truly live in a society
Well I would never wanna think I still lived in a society.
I never liked Fzero. I thought it handled screwy. But I dont think they have the originality anymore that would set it miles from the modern clones. And there are a lot of those. At one time it could have been done fantastic but I think the creativity dried up. Thats why ports are the future.
Oh, and Kirby is an iconic Superstar!!!
||How it is possible that high command cares more for this z-lister than metroid?…||
There’s no such thing as an anniversary, whether it’s Nintendo or Hal labs, unless they actually randomly have a game ready for an anniversary, then they don’t care to celebrate it. Look at the miserable Zelda 30th anniversary, complete garbage, even Mario’s wasn’t that good, we were lucky to get sunshine. DK’s 40th was ignored also. Kirby has had lovely anniversaries I admit, but Kirby games are common, so the anniversary’s aren’t ignored so much.
It also helps that the Kirby games aren’t even made by Nintendo.
