When Nintendo normally releases an update to the Nintendo Switch‘s firmware, it results in a version number change and, at the very least, a handful of changes that had been made confirmed via patch notes. For these updates to finish, the console is required to reboot itself.
Every once in a while, however, the company will release an update for the firmware that does not require a reboot. These “rebootless” updates are usually very small, and patch notes are typically not released for them. In fact, the version number isn’t even changed when Nintendo releases them. Nevertheless, they are very much a thing. For example, Nintendo released one tonight. You can see a tweet relaying the news, along with what the update changed, down below.
As someone with adhd, it’s good to know that Nintendo is inclusive of me again.

I wish that they would’ve added other restricted words to the list in Japan. Like the N-Word, R Words(Rape and Retard), and bad F-word. As someone with ASD and ADHD, I would especially love the second bad R-Word to be on that list.

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Google it. It will explain it better. A lot of people have it. It’s very common. I would say almost everyone has a form of it.
I find that very offensive. ADHD isn’t something to make fun of or joke about… It’s a serious debilitating mental condition that make my life a living hell. Saying everyone has it is completely wrong and offensive and pisses me off. No, not everyone has it. Why? Because it’s genetic. It’s gets passed down. I’ll admit that a great number humans might have it but not everyone. You gotta do alittle more research bud.
As someone who not only has ADHD, but also has Autism, I can agree with you on that. It’s something that shouldn’t be joke about, and it’s something that shouldn’t be used against you.

I gotta ask, how often do people use “ADHD” for anything that it needed to be on the bad word list? Honestly, i don’t recall a time when i used “ADHD” as a characters name or even mentioned it in a conversation. In fact i hadn’t even noticed it was on the bad word list until reading this article.

Homie is taking ADHD way too seriously as a “victimizing” thing, and I think they just need a bit more time to feel it out. ADHD CAN be a hindrance, but if I were asked the “reset your life” hypothetical question, I’d say absolutely not. Sure, it has goofed me at some points, but for the most part it has lead me toward creative ingenuity that I otherwise would not have. Just gotta own it, homie.
