Natsu-Mon! 20th century summer vacation game set for July 28

Spike Chunsoft, in collaboration with Millennium Kitchen and Toybox, has unveiled exciting new information and screenshots for their upcoming summer vacation adventure game, Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Vacation. Immerse yourself in the idyllic town of Yomogi as you step into the shoes of the protagonist, the son of the ringmaster from the Maboroshi Circus. Yomogi, nestled amidst majestic mountains and the azure sea, serves as the enchanting setting for this captivating tale. Although small, the town’s central area boasts a bustling shopping district, a supermarket, and various shops offering essential daily supplies. Explorers will also find numerous points of interest nearby, including a charming harbor, a picturesque lighthouse, a towering factory with a smokestack, and even a grand mountain castle.

Throughout the summer, the protagonist and the circus troupe members will reside in the welcoming Ashitaba Lodge, where several other guests will also be staying. Indulge in the culinary delights prepared by the lodge’s owner, Kyouko, who is known for her exceptional cooking skills. The game unfolds over the course of one month, starting from August 1 and concluding on August 31. Each day presents a combination of predetermined events and free time for players to pursue their own interests. After a delightful breakfast with everyone, the protagonist’s free time begins. Join in the invigorating radio calisthenics held on the shrine grounds, an activity that the protagonist can actively participate in. Roam around the vibrant town, brimming with natural beauty, and embark on thrilling adventures until dinnertime.

Be prepared for various fixed-date events, including encounters with new characters and other significant occurrences that will further enrich the gameplay experience. As night falls, Tokotoko, a member of the circus troupe, will arrive to collect the protagonist. Upon returning home, spend some quality time with everyone around the dinner table, where captivating tales about the town may be shared. Additional free time awaits after dinner, although activities are limited to the town center due to the potential hazards of the mountains and sea during nighttime. Conclude each day by capturing the day’s essence through a picture drawn in the protagonist’s picture diary before heading to bed. A strict bedtime of 10:00 p.m. is advised every night. Falling asleep later than the designated time will result in a slightly delayed wake-up the following morning, preventing participation in the invigorating radio calisthenics session. To maintain a perfect attendance record in radio calisthenics, it is essential to prioritize an early bedtime each night.

Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Vacation introduces a delightful cast of characters, including the protagonist’s family, the town residents, and the circus troupe members. From the caring and skilled cook, Kyouko, to the book-loving niece, Junko, and the diverse personalities within the circus troupe, such as Tokotoko, Nagase, Love, and more, players will forge meaningful connections and form friendships throughout their journey. Mark your calendars as Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Vacation is set to release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on July 28 in Japan. Prepare to embark on a nostalgic and heartwarming adventure in Yomogi, where summer memories and extraordinary experiences await.

  1. Cool! I kind of wish it the hand drawn backgrounds like the other Summer Vacation games, but other than that I’m excited for this and I hope it comes to the US! (:
