Chocobo GP re-released on Switch with micro-transactions removed

Remember Chocobo GP? The game released on the Nintendo Switch last year. Unfortunately, the game became rather infamous for its micro-transactions and a few characters that couldn’t be unlocked in-game and for free. Earlier this month, the game had been removed from the Nintendo Switch eShop, and now we know why.

A few days ago, Square Enix had re-released the game on the Nintendo Switch eShop with absolutely no fanfare. It has been discovered today that the game’s re-release has completely removed all micro-transactions, and you can now unlock everything in-game and offline.

  1. Wouldn’t it be nice if other games did away with micro transaction dlc and gatcha systems with low RNG, and make it so players can unlock everything in game and not all this Pay-2-Win nonsense.
