Physical edition of Batman: Arkham Trilogy only includes Arkham Asylum on cartridge, download required for rest

Warner Bros. Games announced during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation that Nintendo Switch owners will be able to get their hands on Batman: Arkham Trilogy which includes Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight. Now it has emerged that the physical edition of Batman: Arkham Trilogy will only include Batman: Arkham Asylum on the cartridge, while the other two games will need to be downloaded. The full file-size for the trilogy of games has yet to be revealed by Warner Bros. Games, but it will presumably be fairly large,

Does the Nintendo Switch physical version of Batman: Arkham Trilogy include all three games on one cartridge?

“Batman: Arkham Asylum will be included on the Batman: Arkham Trilogy game cartridge. Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight will require an online connection to download and install both titles when the Batman: Arkham Trilogy cartridge is inserted into the Nintendo Switch console. All three games will then be playable as long as the cartridge is inserted into the Nintendo Switch console.”

  1. Not sure if that was a great idea, as some only want physical copies of games not digital because if your account gets perma banned you loose any digital content associated with the account that isn’t already downloaded. Welcome to the digital age.

  2. Physical copies only produce plastic gargabe and electronic waste. They create additional emissions, because they need to be transported over a large distance to the retail shops and then again to end-customers. No excuse nowadays, physical copies should be banned.

    1. No way, cant sell digital copies, cant borrow digital copies, and why spwnsnthe same amount of money on digital when I get a cartridge, box art and a case and sometimes instruction manuals and you get nothing tangible

      1. Look at the print again. WB Games have never mentioned the words “MicroSD Memory Card must be required to download features”. Sorry, Cap… not sorry.

  3. Well that sucks, thought at this point i’m not surprised. Also just for the heck of it, I just went to the PS4 store and looked up this trilogy collection, and it is currently on sale for 11.99. So I’m just gonna grab it there.🤷‍♂️

  4. Time to rely on either Limited Run Games for an actual complete physical or Play-Asia as they know wassup and they know we deserve better when it comes to physical games.

    1. You can’t rely on Limited Run Games. They’re $©üm! Limited Run Games are a disgusting company. Everyone should boycott them and they shouldn’t be promoted. They wrongly fired their Community Manager, Kara Lynne. They turned off comments on all their social media platforms for several months over the huge backlash they faced. Never forget what they did!

I agree but at least they are making physical games when companies refuse to make one for the USA and as much as I’m starting to dislike them i kinda have to rely on them. Play-Asia on the other hand are kings so I’ll gladly throw them money even though people don’t like China or in their case Hong Kong.

  5. What all of you guys don’t seem to understand is that WB Games and Turn Me Up is using a huge game card to save extra space for the additional games needed. We all know that Arkham Asylum will be inside the game card. But if you download both Arkham City and Arkham Knight, it will NOT be in your memory card. Instead, both of these games will be inside the game card itself. Three games, one game card. Simple as that.

If CD Projekt Red and Saber Interactive can do it with The Witcher III Nintendo Switch Edition, the same exact fate will also happen with WB Games and Turn Me Up with Batman: Arkham Trilogy for the Switch.

    1. “But if you download both Arkham City and Arkham Knight, it will NOT be in your memory card. Instead, both of these games will be inside the game card itself. Three games, one game card. Simple as that.”

      Absolute gibberish.

  6. How did they manage to get Arkham Knight to run on Switch?
    Did they remove the batmobile?
That would actually make it definitive edition for me.

  7. usually i am just for phyiscal but as long as this isn’t cloud (amazing how switch was once too weak to handle knight but no longer is….looks like another collusion case between microsoft and sony) I am all for it. This is a physical digital hybrid.
