The latest UK boxed-video game software charts are now in and there’s a new No.1 this week in the form of Square Enix’s eagerly awaited, Final Fantasy XVI. The latest adventure which sees Clive Rosfield is on a mission to free mankind from its fate, has pushed The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom down to No.2 this week. The other big new release this week is Sonic Origins Plus which entered the charts at No.3, which will please SEGA. Here’s the best-selling physical releases for the week ending 24th June, 2023:

Look’s like TOTK has some new competition and it’s called FF16. FF16 feels like a never ending cinematic, i can see why it gets compared with Game of Thrones. The last game i played with this many cinematics was Xenosaga on PS2.
This is why I will not play it. I like to play games not watch a story.
