Activision’s Crash Team Rumble seems to be struggling with only 15 Twitch viewers

Activision and Toys for Bob’s recently released Crash Team Rumble already appears to be floundering. At the time of writing the multiplayer game only has 15 viewers on popular game streaming platform, Twitch (Video Gamer said it had less than 30 viewers on Wednesday). For a multiplayer game this is pretty devastating, not only for fans of the Crash Bandicoot franchise, but also for those who have worked on the game. Crash Team Rumble could well be coming to the Nintendo Switch as the support page mentioned a Nintendo Switch version, though Activision has yet to announce it. It seems likely that unless things improve with future content updates, then it could ultimately end up going the free-to-play route.

  1. This game should have been released as free-to-play. I was semi-interested in the game but had zero interest in investing money into it knowing that it could be dead in weeks.

    1. Yeah, I probably would have been more willing to try it if it was free-to-play. But at $40? Nah.

Plus, they’re most likely going to sneak in micro transactions like they did with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.

  2. why did they make one with just crash…why didn’t they go into their rich IP line…..oh wait nevermind. Guitar Hero player has entered the arena

  3. This game genre is DEAD! (Like every free to play phone genre trash :)
Today maibe every stupid small child from china with only drugs and mobile phone understand “ONLY” big full games for pc and main consoles is worth of money!!!

  4. Seems like the game didn’t get much recognition as Activision thought it would. The game genre is completely dead, but the franchise is not. There is still no way the franchise can best Pokemon, Mario, Zelda or Sonic. They need to explore the franchise elements in order to make there games stand out to the gaming community eyes.

  5. Huh… what could be the reason for that? Why would one ignore this game? Why does it flop like that? Could it be that it is just a shallow copy of Smash Bros? Could it be that Activision ignores the old fans, which are screaming for a good game? Is it because of “THE WOKE MESSAGE”tm ???

Nope, it is because it is shit.
There, I said it… and yes, it is F***ING WOKE!!!!!!

    1. Quacking Pink Flamingo

I boycotted the game because I oppose the non binary catbat character. I hate they them pronouns. If I had a dollar for every gender, I would have 2 dollars and a bunch of counterfeits.

  6. My interest in this game wasn’t too high to begin with, but now hearing about Catbat just dropped that interest down to zero.
    Thanks for the tip, guys.
