Chihiro Fujioka, the director of the original Super Mario RPG on the Super Nintendo and the head honcho for the now defunct Mario and Luigi studio, AlphaDream, has taken to Twitter to inform fans that no, he is not involved with the remake. Even though Mr. Fujioka is not involved in development of the game, he says that he is “very surprised” that the remake was in the works and that he is looking forward to getting his hands on it in 17th November.

I think i speak on behalf of the fanbase when i say “we are all surprised the remake was in the works and can’t wait to get are hands on it November 17th”
I was hoping Nintendo would remake this game for many years, and glad they gave it the love respect and polish it deserved. Now remake Super Metroid and don’t make me wait.
If they remake Super Metroid my hope is that they make it with HD sprites. I love the aesthetic that Dread has, but Super Metroid’s aesthetic is beautiful too! There’s a lot they could improve with Super Metroid without taking away its unique artstyle, but I don’t think Dread’s style would fully encapsulate that style in the same way pixels do
I would love for Nintendo to remake the DKC games to HD.
That would be nice but why put in the time to do that when a new game after Tropical Freeze is way overdue?
