Pikmin 4 released yesterday, and reviews for the game have been gradually rolling out this week, with much of them being positive. However, you may remember that, a month ago, ports of the first 2 Pikmin games were digitally released on the Nintendo Switch. A physical version containing both games is coming on September 22nd.
That said, you might be curious how Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 do from a technical perspective. That’s where Digital Foundry comes in. They released a technical review of the games. Overall, they feel that, though both ports are rather basic and that a case that can be made that both Pikmin games could’ve gotten a little more of a technical upgrade, both games are still worth re-visiting on the Switch.
