Metroid Dread developer Mercury Steam working on 2 unannounced games

metroid dread

Now that Mercury Steam has finished Metroid Dread, there has been a lot of questions about what the developers that have also made Metroid: Samus Returns and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow are going to be doing next. It isn’t surprising, but there hasn’t been any information about the matter.

Well, there’s somewhat of an answer yesterday. According to a financial report from Nordisk Games, which owns a 40% stake in Mercury Steam, Mercury Steam is currently working on “two large undisclosed titles”. We already know that one of them is an action-RPG being developed with 505 Games. However, the other game is not known, though some fans think it could be a new 2D Metroid. You can see a tweet relaying the matter down below.

  1. I’m gona guess the 505 collaboration is castlevania/bloodstained related and due to the success of dread another 2d Metroid is also very likely.
I’d be very happy with both of these
