Mercury Steam, the Spanish developer behind the excellent, Metroid Dread, has revealed in a recent interview that the game has shifted over 3 million units so far. Metroid Dread is currently the fastest selling Metroid game of all-time and we awarded Samus’s adventure a stunning 9.5/10 upon release. Now we await the release date of the long-awaited Metroid Prime 4 which is under development at Retro Studios.
“I don’t think the development was chaotic. Chaotic development doesn’t end with one of the best games in the franchise. It doesn’t end with a game that has sold over three and a bit million copies. It doesn’t end with a game that has won TGA awards. That’s all I have to say about that.

||Good…now high command has to release the Metroid prime 4 weaponry…||
Very pleased for Mercury. I was so on the fence when it was first revealed but I bought the game and loved every minute.
Well I didn’t like it I didnt even beat it as I lost interest and got bored but in the plus side Mercury Steam is a million times better than Wayforward.
Solid game. Good secrets, music, story, gameplay and upgrades. Maybe i need more rpg mechanics, little bigger main character on screen (fusion size) and yes i hate metroid time counter >:( i like play slow without game tell me i am bad player. I slow beat bloodborne dlc, deadcells on 4bc and many other hard games without rushing.
Metroid Dread is absolutely incredible. A gaming marvel. I was entranced by the game since the moment I picked it up. These developers really knew what they were doing.
Very good. A good game deserves good sales. It also means we might not see such a drought with this series anymore like we did between 2010 and 2017.
I want to play it again once I put Tears down.
