SEGA has announced its revenue for the first quarter of 2023 and has also revealed that the Sonic the Hedgehog series has shifted an additional 1.22 million units over those three months which was presumably attributed to Sonic Origins Plus and Sonic Frontiers, which is still being supported by Sonic Team. The Japanese company said that its sales are up 63% year-on-year to ¥108 billion ($756.9 million) and that their operating income rose 712% to ¥22.5 billion ($123 million). SEGA says it expects to deliver games growth of 9% during the full financial year, due to its upcoming slate of video games which include Sonic Superstars, Persona 5 Tactica, and more.
