You can disable the voice of the talking Flowers in Super Mario Bros. Wonder

A lot of new information was revealed today in regards to the new 2D Mario game coming this October, Super Mario Bros. Wonder. However, one lingering question that remained was about the talking Flowers. While the added voices may be a breath of fresh air to some, it might be a burden to others.

Well, it seems that Nintendo is aware of this. It has been confirmed that there is an option to change the settings of the voice of the talking Flowers in the game. In fact, there are 2 settings. You can partially disable them, which results in the voices being muted but their text boxes still appearing. However, if that isn’t enough, you can also disable them entirely and prevent the voices and text boxes from occurring. A tweet relaying the news is down below.

  1. I’m willing to give them a chance. It hasn’t been confirmed or anything yet- it’s just me saying this- but if it turns out they’re made with AI, I’m permanently disabling them.

    1. Why would it be voice by ai especially when the flower has a different voice in different languages I heard people originally saying this when people notice Mario sounding different in wonders debut, like Nintendo wouldn’t do that especially when they never got into nfts and bitcoins and all those other sketchy things other gaming companies got into during the pandemic

  2. Seems most people don’t want to hear these flowers babble on. Personally, I want to leave it on. They have commentary on the level itself. Some are even kinda funny, like the one asking what a Goomba tastes like. It could be a reference to Smash Bros. when Snake asks what a Yoshi tastes like. Also, they might drop clues for hidden areas and other things that could otherwise be easily missed.

Turning them off might remove a chunk of good content as long as they are used sparingly. If they put too many in and they start talking non-stop, I might turn them off too. Although, I’m hoping that isn’t the case. They might be more populated in early levels acting as a tutorial, and as the game progresses become more of a rarity with more funny and useful comments rather than being a consistent Navi like character.
