The announcements from today’s Nintendo Direct continue, with more information on the Princess Peach game. It is called Princess Peach Showtime, and it will be releasing on March 22nd, 2024. Looks great, hopefully the other Mario girls (Daisy, Rosalina, and Pauline) are secret playables as well (I kill to see Rosalina in these costumes).

In the Super Mario brothers Wonder game, you can play as Mario, Luigi, Toad, Toadette, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, and Nabbit, so I see a flaw in your argument.

This looks like if Balan Wonderworld was actually good- literally, some of the plot elements, setting, and game mechanics are the same.
