Nintendo has announced in today’s Nintendo Direct that a remake of the Game Boy Advance game, Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, is in the works. The game will be releasing on February 16th, 2024. Nintendo also tweeted the news, so you can see their official announcement tweet about the matter down below.

So many remakes… it’s beginning to feel like the end of the Switch era
I mean, it pretty much is. The successor to the Switch likely isn’t too far off now, so I wouldn’t expect any major new games announced for the Switch anymore. Tears of the Kingdom was likely the console’s last big game.
Stuff like Metroid Prime 4 is probably being held back for Nintendo’s next console.
No doubt the Switch 2 release is just down the road. Reminds me a lot of the end of the Wii U’s life cycle, right down to the semi-abrupt Mario vs. Donkey Kong announcement
DK is officially dead. Ten years and no new game. Dunkey was right, Nintendo took DK out back and shot him.
Should have been a DK94 remake.
