Nintendo is gearing up to rev up the excitement for F-Zero 99, the adrenaline-pumping racer exclusive to Switch Online subscribers. The gaming giant recently unveiled plans for upcoming updates to the game, promising more thrills and challenges for players. The first update, scheduled for “late September,” will focus on enhancing the Queen League tracks, injecting fresh excitement into the competition. Then, in “mid-October,” speed enthusiasts can gear up for the arrival of the King League tracks, promising even more high-speed action and challenges.

However, it’s not just tracks that are getting a makeover. Dataminers have unearthed exciting prospects within F-Zero 99’s game files. The mysterious “Arcade Mode” is expected to introduce a timer and time gates on the circuits, providing an additional layer of intensity to the races. Meanwhile, “Survival Mode” remains shrouded in mystery, leaving players intrigued by the possibilities it holds. Additionally, F-Zero 99’s rich history is being acknowledged through unused files that reference the Satellaview entry, BS F-Zero Grand Prix, a relic from the Super Famicom era. This nod to the past adds a layer of nostalgia for long-time fans and hints at the game’s commitment to honoring its iconic legacy.
