Nintendo shows switching between Super Mario RPG’s Classic & Modern OSTs in new video

One of the most highly anticipated games coming this autumn is the excellent-looking remake of the Super Nintendo classic, Super Mario RPG. Nintendo announced when the game was first shown off during a Nintendo Direct that fans would be able to freely switch between the original soundtrack and the newer rearranged soundtrack, which has been composed by Yoko Shimomura. In a new video uploaded today, Nintendo shows exactly that. The Kyoto-based company also revealed that once you’ve finished the main story of Super Mario RPG, you can listen to all the songs whenever you want via the in-game Sound Player. Super Mario RPG launches on November 17th on the Nintendo Switch.

  1. I like the idea of having an in game sound player for listening to all the songs once you completed the game.

  2. I really appreciate that remasters are starting to do this. In the FF Pixel Remaster, you have the option to switch between the OST and remastered soundtracks at any time, and they’re both wonderful.
