Update: Borderlands 3 Switch physical copy file-size is actually 25.5GB

Update: The official Borderlands account says image isn’t legit and that actual file-size is 25.5GB

The latest game in the Borderlands main series of games, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, launches tomorrow on the Nintendo Switch, and the game has certainly been a long time coming. Interestingly, the physical edition states on the back of the box that users require a hefty 62GB of free space to be available on their MicroSD Card. The physical edition of Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition contains the main game, expansions, season pass 1 & 2, and deluxe bonus content. That’s still a whopping download for a physical edition. Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition will be available tomorrow at retailers and on the Nintendo eShop.

  1. I’ll download 62GB, because i know Borderlands 3 is something i’ll definitely play for countless hours.

    1. This right here is why some 3rd parties bother trying to port their old lazy efforts to Switch. At full price it should be added, because there are suckers everywhere, with more money than sense.

  2. Even with the update, it doesn’t change the fact that this is another butchered physical release. Clearly it’s not all on the cartridge, now we just have to see how stingy they were and what size they went with.

  3. Umm okay your article update just leaves even more questions.

How much is the physical cart holding exactly? Is 23.5GB a required download that’s remaining when purchasing the physical copy, or is it the total file size of the game for physical or digital? I can believe that the entire game is only 23.5GB in space, but I have trouble believing this game is using a 32GB cart…
