Splatoon 3 updated to Version 5.2.0 (patch notes)

splatoon 3 turf war battle

Splatoon 3 continues to get a lot of support from Nintendo, and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. There is going to be more DLC coming soon that is part of the Expansion Pass, and the game is getting updated very regularly with new updates that adds more things, re-balances the game and fixes bugs.

Well, the latest example of this has occurred tonight. Nintendo has released a brand new update for Splatoon 3, bringing the game to version 5.2.0. There isn’t any new content in this update, but there is some added support for some new amiibo. You can see the patch notes in full down below.

Changes to amiibo

  • Added support for the Shiver, Frye, and Big Man amiibo.

Season and Catalog Changes

  • The number of Catalog Points earned during the Closeout Bonus period has increased from 1.2x to 1.5x. The Closeout Bonus period runs from one week before the end of the season until the end of the season.

Changes to Notifications

  • When you receive a notification that a room created with the SplatNet 3 Room Creation feature is joinable, it will be displayed on the screen.

This update focuses on adding data for Deep Cut amiibo. We plan on releasing the next update at the end of the current season. It will focus primarily on weapon balance adjustments and adding features for the new season starting in December.

Note: Compatible with Ver. 5.1.0 battle replays. Not compatible with Ver. 5.0.1 or earlier battle replays.

  1. It very evident that we’re not getting a brand new mode but I would love to have some brand new anarchy mode that adds more stuff into the mix aside from rainmaker, clambliz, tower control
