It’s a new year, which means that speculation on the next Nintendo Direct gets underway. Nintendo loves to have a Direct at the beginning of the year, usually in January or February. So, it is no surprise that the gaming media is beginning to talk about the potential of a new Nintendo Direct coming soon.
For example, gaming journalist, insider and streamer Jeff Grubb recently spoke about it in a Giant Bomb stream. While Grubb doesn’t say that he’s heard anything suggesting that it will happen, he still feels that, due to historical trends with Nintendo, “you can always count on a Nintendo Direct in February. It is almost certainly going to happen in February, again”.
I’m gonna say around in February as my theory.
I’m going to say around the 2nd or 3rd week of February: that is usually The Sweet spot
I’ll say 1st and 4th week, and then we’ll have all bases covered, we’re bound to be right 😂

One in February, another in May/June, last one in September. That’s been roughly the schedule for a while now.
I don’t know why but I’m thinking of March for some reason. 🤷
Maybe due to the japanese fiscal year? It ends in March 31st.
It’s probably more to do with the Switch launch which was in a March if I recall right. (Or maybe it’s just one of THOSE type of feelings. Hopefully it’s good, if so. 🤷)
