VGC is reporting today that Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope has now shifted over three million copies worldwide, thanks to a number of hefty discounts at retailers in the run up to Christmas. Ubisoft had previously said that Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope sales were initially disappointing, but the game has apparently crossed the three million barrier now, which should hopefully prod Ubisoft into thinking about creating a follow-up game as it is a unique take on the Mario franchise.

If it had sold 3 million copies at full price that would have been impressive. But it’s been hugely discounted, way, way under half price(it still is), so it’s a bit meaningless.
Yeah, it was selling here for £15 for at least 4 weeks.
Yes, I ended up getting the game at a discounted price. Didn’t take long before I found it for a good deal.
I think what hurt them was it coming out like a few weeks before Pokémon Violet and Scarlet. Which is sad because Mario-Rabbids didn’t debut broken like Pokémon did. Ubisoft put a lot of effort into this.
It improved a lot on the original, and it’s actually fun, but even a broken mess, I rather play Violet lol.
